Collection Descriptive Notes:
Native consultant (male) from an unspecified location in Oaxaca State (in Mexico) pronounces words for pitch contrast, minimal pairs and whole sentences. The researcher in charge of the recording was almost certainly Manuel Andrade. (Both a Spanish speaker and a man speaking American English are heard from time to time.)
Collection Technical Notes:
Phonograph records are the original needle-cut aluminum discs produced (most probably) in Oaxaca State (in Mexico) c. 1935. The tape dub was made by Donald H. Ledin in the Language Lab c. 1979. (Note: The taped version is to be preferred for the quality of sound.) WAVE file is now converted to an MP3.
