An unnamed native speaker was recorded at the University of Chicago c. 1935 by H. Hoijer and M. Andrade. He sings a few songs, tells three stories and provides some grammar samples.
Collection Technical Notes:
Phonograph records are needle-cut discs of the “Victor Record Blank for Home Recording” brand, made by the RCA Victor Company, Inc. (Camden, NJ). Note: The recordings are exremely faint. he names of the researchers are not on the discs but are supplied from the text of the notes (q.v.). WAVE files are now converted to MP3s.
