Collection Descriptive Notes: 
An American man reads the English parts of the lessons, while a native speaker supplies the Iraqi Arabic. The Holt company re-issued Van Wagoner's text in two volumes: Vol. I (1949) and Vol. II (1958). Regenstein has the DMA's copy of both.
Collection Technical Notes: 
These masters were dubbed in the Old Lab c. 1955 from Holt's re-issue of the World War II-era set of discs prepared by the United States Armed Forces Institute (U.S.A.F.I.) [not now in the DMA collection]. The WAVE files are now converted to MP3s.
