Collection Descriptive Notes:
A male native speaker makes spontaneous remarks and voices various texts such as vocabulary, proverbs, narratives, etc.
Collection Technical Notes:
Phonograph records are five needle-cut aluminum discs almost certainly made at the University of Chicago in the 1930s. The attribution of the recordings to Andrade rely on N.A. McQuown's cover page to the texts. Without exception the aluminum stock used for the recordings is of the "Speak-O-Phone" brand, and "Side A" is always considered the one with the manufacturer's logo. WAVE files are now converted to MP3s.
