Collection Descriptive Notes: 
Morató and two female collaborators, using both English and Spanish, voice (a few of) the lessons from Morató's text. The recordings were produced under Morató's direction at the Instituto de Idiomas "Tawantinsuyu" in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
Collection Technical Notes: 
Cassettes were copied in 1987 from the set lent to the LLA by Luis Morató. WAVE files are now converted to MP3s.

Collection Descriptive Notes: 
For the most part, an unnamed female interviewer, speaking Quechua, engages in spontaneous conversation with a variety of native speakers, male and female, young and old. Mannheim, also speaking Quechua, will on occasion conduct an interview, but usually acts as a participant. Note: Lacking adequate data, JJT has coded all the interviews as being of the Cusco dialect.
Collection Technical Notes: 
Tapes are dubs made in 1978-80 from field recordings (or dubs of the same)lent to the Language Laboratory by Mannheim. WAVE files are now converted to MP3s.

Advanced Quichua de Imbabura: Folktales [Lessons 19-33]

Native speaker (female) does a fluent reading of Quichua folktales, the equivalent of Lessons 19-29, 32 & 33 of the Stark and Carpenter textbook. All titles and texts are read in Quichua only. [Note: Lesson 31 is an exception: it was recorded in the field and consists of a spontaneous conversation between two women.]

Tapes, produced at the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign, are a subset of the complete series of lessons 1-33), donated to the LLA by Carol Hendrickson on 6/4/85. WAVE files are converted to MP3s.
