An unnamed male speaker reads the English text, while two native speakers (male) voice the Arabic portions. Pronunciation Drills and Units 1-20, drawn (probably) from the 1973 edition of An Introduction to Moroccan Arabic, Ann Arbor: Center for Near Eastern and North African Studies, University of Michigan.
Collection Technical Notes: 
Tapes were dubbed in 1976 from the 7.5 ips, half-track loan copies (on seven-inch reels) from the University of Michigan. (Unreviewed) WAVE files have been converted to MP3s.

Under the supervision of the Geertzes, a native speaker (male) reads model sentences from Lessons 26-40, while a number of American (?) students attempt to imitate the teacher. The text used here is apparently the 1965 edition of A Basic Course in Moroccan Arabic, by Richard S, Harrell, Mohammed Abu-Talib, and William S. Carroll (Washington, D.C.: Georgetown Unversity Press).

Tapes are three tapes on seven-inch reels apparently dubbed in 1967 from field recordings supplied by Clifford Geertz. (Unreviewed) WAVE files have been converted to MP3s.
