An unnamed native speaker of modern Icelandic (male) reads four stories: “The death of Gunnar”, “The burning of Njál”, “Grettir’s fight with Gldm” (and) “þáttr Auðunar vestfirʒka”.
Collection Technical Notes: 
Tapes are the copies once owned by Kostas Kazazis. The date and place of the recordings is unknown. (Gift of Kostas Kazazis on January 28, 2003) WAVE files are now converted to MP3s.

Howard Aronson collected these samples of three (unidentified) Macedonian dialects on 14 November 1957.
Collection Technical Notes: 
Tape is a subset of the tape that also contains Icelandic recordings. This recording, which is probably a copy of the original field recordings, takes up most of Track 2 . The place and date of the making of this dub is unknown. (Gift of Kostas Kazazis to the LLA on January 28, 2003) The WAVE file is now converted to an MP3.

Native speaker (male) [Einarsson himself?] voices the exercises from Einarsson's text, Icelandic Conversation Course, Johns Hopkins Press, 1945. He first reads a sentence in English, then translates it into Icelandic. The place and date of the recordings are unknown, but the setting appears to be an informal "language lab" setting; i.e., not a professional recording studio.
