Native speaker and professional actor Leonidov (of the Adademic Theater of Comedy) does a fluent reading of the entire text, Chapters 1-14. The recording was made in Leningrad (at the behest of Fruma Gottschalk?).
Collection Technical Notes:
These are probably not the live recordings but copies. Note: Leonidov misreads the slate for Chapter 6 as “Chapter 4”. Text is “identical” with the official Soviet version of 1960 but stress marks and explanatory notes have been added. A Russian-English Glossary follows the Notes. The DMA no longer holds this text. WAVE files are now converted to MP3s.
