Various native speakers (male and female) voice the lessons from the texbook, A Course in Levantine Arabic, by Ernest N. McCarus et al. (Ann Arbor: Center for Near Eastern and North African Studies, University of Michigan, 1974). (The dialect used here is from Syria.) A copy of the book can be found in Regenstein Library.
Collection Technical Notes:
Tapes are dubs made from the 3.75 ips, half-track copies on polyester stock and seven-inch reels lent to the LLA by the University of Michigan. WAVE files are now converted to MP3s.
