Daitz starts with an introduction to the Latin language and how its sound system was reconstructed. Next, he describes each vowel and consonant. In the third "lecture" Daitz discusses the proper reading of long and short syllables. Finally, he reads Demonstration Texts (from Vergil, Cicero, Catullus, and Horace).
