Aguacatenango I

Content description Contents:

Track 1: Hotchkiss (?) administers a T.A.T. to Severiana Hernández
Aguilar (508) (966), who interprets some images first in Spanish,
then in Tzeltal. [Note: The rest of the tape, apparently recorded
in the quarter-track format, appears to consist entirely of
McQuown dictating letters (in both Spanish and English). DO

The penciled notations on the back of the box appear to have been done all at once, indicating that a "JCH" and an "MJA" (=John C. Hotchkiss and Mariano Juárez Aguilar?) made the recording on 23 March 1962. Note: JJT has not digitized the unerased material recorded by McQuown.
