Aguacatenango I

Content description Contents:

Track 1: Hotchkiss (?) administers a T.A.T. to Severiana Hernández
Aguilar (508) (966), who interprets some images first in Spanish,
then in Tzeltal. [Note: The rest of the tape, apparently recorded
in the quarter-track format, appears to consist entirely of
McQuown dictating letters (in both Spanish and English). DO
NOT DIGITIZE.]
Object Type PhysicalObject
Medium 1/4 inch audio tape
Contributor Hernández Aguilar, Severiana (508) (966) (consultant); Hotchkiss, John C. (interviewer); Juárez Aguilar, Mariano (interviewer)
Notes Tape is the original live recording done in the half-track format over previous recordings done in quarter-track. The penciled notations on the back of the box appear to have been done all at once, indicating that a "JCH" and an "MJA" (=John C. Hotchkiss and Mariano Juárez Aguilar?) made the recording on 23 March 1962. Note: JJT has not digitized the unerased material recorded by McQuown.
