LSA 1956 - Melness excerpts

Content description About two dozen vocabulary elicitations are excerpted from one or more of the Melness tapes. (JJT believes that “LSA” stands for “Linguistic Society of America”. Tape prepared for a speech at a meeting?)
Object Type PhysicalObject
Medium 1/4 inch audio tape
Contributor Hamp, Eric P. (interviewer); MacPherson, Robert (consultant); Hamp, Eric P. (compiler)
Notes The use of the same type of box for these excerpts suggests that they were made at the Old Lab not long after Hamp returned from Scotland. Note: the sound levels on the tape are extremely variable. The tape has been transferred to a better reel.--JJT 9/29/10
