Collection Descriptive Notes | Researcher William Offenkrantz describes the experimental set-up to two male subjects, who go on to read to each other certain paradigms that illustrate intonation and boundaries. |
Collection Technical Notes | Tape is a studio recording made in synch with a camera filming the conversational exchange (film code: CL-002). These recordings were made in order to provide study material for McQuown's Interview Microanalysis course. (For background to these experiments consult the WikiPedia article on Ray Birdwhistell that JJT printed out and placed in the "Birdwhistell, Ray" folder in the his file cabinet.) The WAVE files are now converted to MP3s. |
