| Collection Descriptive Notes | At this "roundtable", held in mid-December of 1961 in Chiapas, various field workers sum up their findings after two (?) years of research. Julian Pitt-Rivers and Eva Hunt do most of the talking, but others such as Norman McQuown, Nicholas Hopkins, John C.Hotchkiss and Calixta Guiteras-Holmes also contribute. The topics of discussion are confined mainly to family relations, land tenure, politics and religion, and Spanish is the medium of discourse (with a few exceptions). |
