| Collection Descriptive Notes | Unnamed native speakers of Mam conduct a number of interviews with native consultants mainly in the municipio of San Juan Ostuncalco (Quetzaltenango Department of Guatemala). It is not clear how the Pecks are connected with these recordings. |
| Collection Technical Notes | Tapes are seven field-recorded tapes done on acetate stock. The room acoustics and the distinctive switching transients of the tape recorder used tie all these tapes together. The tapes and the original boxes are stored inside 11" boxes. The notations written on/in the boxes have been scanned. Note that Ethnologue has changed the designation "Northern Mam" to "Mam". WAVE files are now converted to MP3s. |
