Collection Descriptive Notes | Native speaker (male) reads several texts, then he and another (male) native speaker engage in a series of (scripted) conversations. The authorship of the material is attributed to Edward Dimock. |
Collection Technical Notes | Tape is the dub of several shorter ones (done apparently in the Old Lab in July 1961). Donald Ledin made the dub in the Language Lab in 1963 and gave it the title “Reel No. 1–Intro.–Tape 1-6”. McQuown subsequently noted on 4/21/78 "[see notes in Vertical File!]", though the notes he refers to may be the ones placed in the box. WAVE files are now converted to MP3s. |
