Anthropologist Melville Jacobs had a (male) native speaker brought to the State University of Seattle c. 1935 and cut an aluminum disc recording of the man's pronunciation of various words illustrating pitch.
Collection Technical Notes:
Record is a 10-inch, 78 rpm, needle-cut aluminum disc recorded on both sides. (Note: The quality of the sound of the consultant's utterances is extremely poor.) WAVE files are converted to MP3s.
