Man speaking American English reads the English-language portions of the course while a native speaker (male) supplies the Burmese.
Collection Technical Notes: 
Although the first tape bears the title "Holt Spoken Burmese", these recordings were almost certainly dubbed from the U.S.A.F.I. phonograph records (q.v.). (The texts accompanying the records were issued by the Holt company.) WAVE files are now converted to MP3s.

The author and various native speakers voice the various exercises from the textbook, Burmese: An Introduction to the Spoken Language: Book 2 (Northern Illinois University, Center for South Asian Studies, 1994). (Note: the cassettes use the shorter form of the title.)
Collection Technical Notes: 
Masters are the cassettes sent from the publisher. They constitute one part of a cassette series divided into four parts, coded S, D, G and L. Note that it is not clear whether Okell's assistants on the writing of the textbook (U Saw Tun and Daw Khin Mya Swe) also added their voices to the recordings. All the WAVE files are now converted to MP3s.
