McQuown had these pages bound under hard cover. Note: this text is apparently identical with the “Pronunciation” portion of the Beginning Tamil text (q.v.).

Native speaker (male) does a fluent reading of Stories from Kaṛpanaikkāṭu (2nd ed.) by Rajaji [Chakravarti Rajagopalachari], published by Jeevan Press: Madras, Tamil Nadu, India (1960). The first nine stories of the book are omitted so that the series of readings begins with No. 10. (The correspondence of recorded stories to the ones in the book are indicated under the entry for each tape.)
Collection Technical Notes: 
Except for Stories 12-21, which are listed on the back of the tape box, the titles for each story are found on slips written by Balasubramanian and filed under "Tamil Recordings (1990)" in the vertical file (VF02). These notes are now scanned, and WAVE files are now converted to MP3s.

Collection Technical Notes: 
Masters are the cassettes sent from the publisher. They constitute one part of a cassette series divided into four parts, coded S, D, G and L. Note that it is not clear whether Okell's assistants on the writing of the textbook (U Saw Tun and Daw Khin Mya Swe) also added their voices to the recordings. All the WAVE files are now converted to MP3s.
