This is a redigitization of the tape, inasmuch as the first attempt was done at much too low a level. The tape was played on the TEAC A-3440 quarter-track machine. The outputs of the Channels 2 & 3 jacks were patched into the UCA202 device, which was connected via a USB cable to the iMac running Audacity. Subsequently, JJT made adjustments to the file: 1) he shortened the excess silence of 11 seconds between the two recording sessions and 2) raised and lowered the gain level selectively in the first minute or so to make it more even. The format is two-channel mono. |
