Assamese language: pattern drills [1]

Content description Native speaker voices a text that is based on the drills in Dimock's Introduction to Bengali: Lessons 1-4.1. (The spelling of the speaker's name is not certain.)
Object Type PhysicalObject
Medium 1/4 inch audio tape
Contributor Dasgupta, Monisha (speaker); Unnamed author (author)
Notes Tape was recorded in the Language Lab studio; Donald H. Ledin, rec. eng., 6/18/64 (Lessons 1 & 2) and 6/22/64 (Lessons 3 & 4); John E. Wahl (?), ed., 5/6/65. The leader in the middle of the tape does not break the recording in a logical place: The recording of Lesson 3, for which the speaker gives a new slate (and the date 22 June 1964), begins well after the leader. (The recording ends where it does because the tape ran out; the recording (of Lesson 4) resumed the same day on another tape.) The white noise heard throughout the background of the tape suggests the use of earlier model of Ampex tape recorder.
Linguistic Data Type Studio Recording
