Content description |
At a Christmas celebration (in Merida?), conducted in Maya, unnamed men and women sing traditional Christmas songs; a man apparently tells the Christmas story from the Gospels; and two (?) men conclude the recording with addresses to the crowd. (In the first address a man mentions "sukuun Refugio" (i.e., younger brother Refugio), which seems to indicate that this is indeed Refugio Vermont-Salas's home town.) |

Notes |
This is the original live recording. The handwriting on the back of the box is that of Norman A. McQuown, but the date of the recording is derived from his note on a copy (since discarded). (Note: About ten minutes into the recording there is a short, unintelligible passage caused, apparently, by a temporary slowdown of the recording machine.) |
