Since the original was recorded in the quarter-track format, it was necessary to play it on the TEAC A-3440, which has only the 7.5 ips and 15 ips speeds. Therefore, the original, which runs at 3.75 ips, had to be played at double speed. The signal from the Track 3 output was split into two monophonic channels before being patched into the Fireface 400. Subsequently, the frequency was halved to restore the natural sound of the original. |
