Content description | Tape consists of a series of samples from the "Family White" interview. Each sample is repeated many times apparently to facilitate transcription. Consult the scanned file "eng-fw-bateson-4-txt" for and index to the tape. (Note: The meaning of "ASHA" is not known at this time.--JJT 3/12/14) |

Notes | The notation "NAM 1958" appears to indicate that the excerpting from the "Family White" interview was done in 1958 (at the Old Lab) for Mr. McQuown. It is not clear which of the three "ASHA" tapes are the original and which the copies. Text on the back of the box (in N.A. McQuown's handwriting) reads: 1. (REVERE) 1-18 1-17 [Numbers refer to the counter on a Revere 2. 19-53 19-53 tape recorder.] 3. 54-63 54-63 4. 64-95 5. 96-116 6. 118-145 7. 146-172 8. 173-191 9. 192-203 |
