Sound quality seems to indicate this is the field-recorded original--not a copy. Track 1 was recorded at 7.5 ips, Track 2 at 3.75 ips. Given the three distinct tracks on the second tape, I am guessing that all the recordings were made in the quarter-track format. Raven I. McDavid noted on the back of the box that he completed the phonetic transcription of the tape on 14 November 1977. |
