Notes | Phonograph records are the original, field-recorded aluminum discs made by (or under the supervision of) M. Andrade c. 1933. (JJT put them into this box on 9/15/78.) The date of production is not entirely certain. Note: the digital files were not made directly from these discs but from tape dubs made in 1958 (q.v.). A special note is found on Disc No. 48 (according to Andrade's numbering, aka B/C A7000095V): "Not reliable for constant speed--Brush trouble began / Ammeter needle had rythmical [sic] jerk. Speedometer did not show variation". |
