Content description | An unnamed man interviews Leander Rowdy (spelling uncertain) in Goshen, Elkhart Township, Elkhart County, c. 1952. |
Object Type | PhysicalObject |
Medium | 1/4 inch audio tape |
Contributor | Rowdy, Leander (consultant); Unnamed male speaker (interviewer) |
Notes | This tape was dubbed from the 3.75 ips, 1.5-mil field-recorded original on a seven-inch reel lent to the LLA by Raven McDavid; filtered; JJT, rec.eng., 8/10/77. Note: The end of Track One and the beginning of Track Two are marred by sound problems: muffled sound, too-rapid speed, etc. Special note: the stock on which the original was recorded had a paper base and was manufactured (according to D.H. Ledin) by the Clevite Brush Company of Cleveland, OH c. 1947. This master had to be baked (in April 2011) to correct a sticky-shed problem. |
