Notes |
Tape was dubbed from the 7.5 ips, half-track recording on a seven-inch reel and 1-mil stock lent to the LLA by Raven I. McDavid; JJT, rec. eng., n.d. It is not the original field recording but a copy made apparently at Ohio State University. A male voice introduces the recording: “This is Reel No. 2 of an interview for the Linguistic Atlas of America made in [sic] March 23rd 1957 by Prof. Raven I. McDavid of the University of Chicago. The informant is Dean James F. Fullington, a cultivated informant born in Marysville, Ohio, and long associated with Ohio State University. The recordings were made by Stanley Sapon [sp.?], Leonard Newmark and Francis Utley. The track clears after some preliminary noise and confusion.” (The date in this case is apparently correct.) |
