Content description | From JJT's notes: "...One native speaker does all the talking. There appear to be two (male) interviewers, only one of whom seems to ask all the questions. Speaking with a North American accent, he addresses the native consultant (Umberto?) in both Spanish and Maya. (This speaker does not appear to be the same as on the other tapes.) The only clue to who this speaker might be occurs halfway through Side 2, when he says, 'Bring me an orange, Gloria, and bring Umberto a Pepsi.' " |
