The Chiapas Project; Tzeltal / Spanish: Religious activities in Ocosingo (G.E. Williams, 1961)

Access:
Collection Descriptive Notes
Williams prompts a lengthy conversation about local church governance and the number of saints venerated in that church. He and the two native consultants (male) converse only in Spanish, so the use of "Tzeltal" in the title designates the regional culture only.
Collection Technical Notes
Tape is the original field recording. Inasmuch as the date for this recording is given as November 1961, it would seem that it is not related to the other Ocosingo tapes made by Williams (and was not assigned a Roman numeral by McQuown). WAVE file is now converted to an MP3.
