Ray, using standard Bengali, evokes vocabulary items from a single native speaker (male) of the Mymensingh dialect of Bengali. The location of the recording is given as the village of Madyittu (sp.?) in the subdivision of Kishoreganj in the Mymensingh Division of Bangladesh.

This appears to be the original field recording done at a single session c. 1962. (From the P.S. Ray Collection) WAVE files are now converted to MP3s.
