Yucatec Maya recordings on aluminum discs (Andrade, c. 1933): Speech of "Barrera"

Collection Descriptive Notes
A man speaking Spanish in the background (almost certainly Andrade) prompts utterances from a man speaking in both Yucatec and Spanish(identified only as "Barrera").
Collection Technical Notes
Phonograph record is the original 8-inch, needle-cut, aluminum disc recorded under the supervision of M. Andrade. It forms a subset of Andrade's 123 recordings made in the Yucatán in the early 1930s. A transcription of the Maya speech was made by N.A. McQuown; it has been scanned. WAVE file is now converted to an MP3.
