|Collection Descriptive Notes||
A native male speaker, S.N. Haksar (from Delhi), “a Hindu”, whose mother tongue is Urdu, voices the samples from the text. (Despite the mention in the accompanying booklet of a second speaker, there is only one on the disc.)
|Collection Technical Notes||
Phonograph record is the disc issued by the Linguaphone Institute c. 1935. Note that, since there is no Ethnologue code for Hindustani, JJT has created the arbitrary code "hin-urd". WAVE file is now converted to an MP3.
This collection has no playable audio.
