Collection Descriptive Notes
Norbert Jokl (most probably) voices phrases and words from this dialect, which is spoken in Albania and Macedonia. (JJT assumes that it is Gheg Albanian.) The recording was probably made in Vienna.
Collection Technical Notes
Hamp’s notes on the cassette label give the trail of provenance as: “Wiener Akademie → Innsbruck → Camaj M. → (München) → EPH Sept. 1989”. Inasmuch as the whole recording takes just 5+ minutes, it is probable that the recording was done on only one 78 rpm disc. WAVE file is now converted to an MP3.
