Collection Descriptive Notes | Eliza Kennedy tells the story of how she and Lily Keewong got lost in the mallee scrub. Donaldson recorded the story at Ivanhoe, New South Wales (August 1973). |
Collection Technical Notes | Tape is a dub from the Australian National University Field Tape No. 42, Side 2 (via a C-45 cassette copy lent to the LLA by Jane Rosenthal). Text is a photocopy of Donaldson’s (?) transcript of the tape recording, featuring a minimal phoneticization of the Wangaybawan with interlinear English translation–first literal, then fluent. The text is now scanned, and the WAVE file is converted to an MP3. |
