| Collection Technical Notes | Tapes were almost certainly dubbed (in the Old Lab c. 1960) from the set of records now in the DMA collection. (Henry Holt and Company re-released the U.S.A.F.I. discs and text after WW II--hence the title "Holt German" on the tape boxes.) Note: The digital copies have been made from the tapes (rather than the discs) inasmuch as present equipment does not "read" the discs as well as that in the Old Lab. The WAVE files are converted to MP3s. |
