The Man-in-Nature Project; Tzeltal: Siberia field recordings (1958)

Locations:
Collection Descriptive Notes
A Spanish-speaking interviewer (Andres Medina) reads the standard vocabulary list, and a native speaker (and his son) supply the Tzeltal. (The dialect used here is specifically identified as "Oxhuc Tzeltal".)
Collection Technical Notes
Master tapes are the field-recorded originals, done on a Magnemite machine (i.e., the one with the center track). A list of vocabulary words on three slips of paper and in N.A. McQuown's handwriting were found in the Siberia II box. They have now been scanned. WAVE files are converted to MP3s.
