Native speaker (female), using "Brahmin" Tamil, voices Lessons 1-18 from an unidentified version of the text. She leaves pauses after each utterance for the student to repeat.
Collection Technical Notes
Masters were recorded in Jan.-Mar. 1965 at the Language Laboratory studio. The designation "pilot version" was conferred by James Lindholm in 1976 during his global survey of the all the Tamil tapes in the collection at that time. Note that originally Ledin recorded the title of this series as "Beginning Tamil". WAVE files are now converted to MP3s.
